What are We Up To?

Just wanted to let everyone know we are still alive and well. Terry and I are spending what seems like hours on the internet searching for the right house with the right yard, right number of bedrooms, bathrooms, taxes, etc. So by the time we are done with the searching, my brain needs rest rather than blogging. My body needs to get up out of the chair and move around. Please pray for us as we search, that God will lead us to just the right house. We know He can do just that. We are set to close on our house in FW on March 17th. All we can say is, "Thank you Lord, for all You have done for us." He is faithful, isn't He? Anyone who knows anything about us knows God has shown His faithfulness in our lives over and over. Yes, He is faithful!!

Happy 17th to Us!!

There we were and now here we are 17 years later. We look so young!! Pictured below from left to right is: my cousin T.J., flowergirl cousin Brooke, cousin Lori and cousin Shannon, us of course, our good friend Kevin, my brother Kenny and my cousin Shane. I am so thankful to each of these people for taking part in this special time in our lives. Of all the pictures taken that day, this has always been my favorite, will always be my favorite. I think my aunt Diana took it.
By the way, for our anniversary surprise(for both of us) was an offer on our house, which we accepted. Thanks to each person who has prayed for us about our house selling. You are a blessing !!

Wonderful Neighbors

No matter where I live, God blesses me with wonderful neighbors. A few names are Ernie and Linda, Pam and her family, Debbie and family, Dale and Julie, Tom and Wendy, etc. The list continues while living here:Jim and Jackie
Yesterday we received a LOT MORE snow. Colby and I went out to clear the mailbox(to avoid any more embarrassing "tickets"). As we are starting to shovel, my neighbor comes over with more baked goods and treats for the dogs. I was really hoping to burn some calories, but her miniature cheesecakes were too tempting. I ate all but one!! Anyway, a few minutes after she left, her husband drives up and says, "My wife tells me you need a little power." I am thinking he is coming to help shovel, how nice that is, and Colby and I will actually be finished before Terry comes home. He then pulls out a large gas can and a snow blower. He says he has given us enough gas to use the rest of the winter with the snow blower; he has 2 other ones anyway. I was just floored by their kindness. People like that are such a treasure. They gave us a big blessing yesterday and today since we had even more snow to clean up. Colby and I still shoveled some since we are trying REALLY hard to get some exercise. Got to burn those calories!!

Terry and His Catch Pics

Here are pictures of the fish Terry caught while ice fishing last month, before we fried them. They were nice size fish with good taste, too!!

Dalayna and Her Daddy

I came upstairs the other night to find Dalayna using her daddy as her own personal lounger. I thought it was a cute picture. Terry is a multipurpose Daddy for Dalayna. He is a chair, a tree to climb on, a jungle gym to swing from, but most importantly, her Daddy, who adores her!!

1st Day of Classes

Today we began classes with a homeschool group. This was all new to Dalayna, but not to Colby and me. The last time we belonged to one was 2004, as we were waiting to go to China!! It was a wonderful day. My kids left with smiles on their faces, so that was a good thing to see. They enjoyed every minute of it. I am so thankful for the welcome we received today. So, since this is our first day at something new for all of us(new faces, new group), etc, I thought it appropriate to take pictures!! Dalayna's classes are gym, 5-In-A-Row, which I do with her at home too, Little Keepers at Home, and a math class. Can you tell it was a little early in the morning? We had to be out the door by 7:45AM!! Colby's classes are gym, Military History, Bible Study and Drama, which by the way, he will not be acting. He has chosen to stay behind the scenes in lights and props.

They look too grown-up don't they?
