"So Long Summer" Trip

We went to visit our dear friends Bill and Betsy this weekend, who live in the land where sweet tea is always on the menu. We had not seen them in 3 years and it was such a blessing to be with them again. They have the gift of hospitality. We enjoyed every minute and will NOT wait that long again to go see them!! Here a few photos of scenery. There is something about the mountains that is just majestic and reminds you of the power of our God. I have decided after this trip that when I grow -up (HAHA) I am going to move to the mountains, buy a house with a big front porch, sit on it and drink lots of sweet tea!!

As you can see, Colby goes to pain-staking measures to avoid being in pictures. We have shared many laughs sitting around this table.

Terry and Bill had much to catch up on.

When I talked to Betsy about our trip, she talked to Dalayna and told her she could swim in their pool at night with the lights on. She told everyone she talked to about the lights in the pool.

Here is Blue, Bill and Betsy's dog, swimming. He is named for his one blue eye. He is an extremely smart dog and a cuddly one too.

Colby has always wanted a pet to be in his room at night. This weekend, he had that.

Miss Betsy made a friend for life this weekend. Dalayna wanted to sit by her, hold her hand and just be near her. Betsy has a wonderful way with kids.

Bill and Betsy have some unusual back yard neighbors. They are burros. Their names are Zeke, Zac and Azalea. Betsy helps take care of them at times when her neighbors are away. She gives them treats sometimes too. They sure came when she called their names.

  1. Looks like you had a really fun time at Bill and Betsey's house. Glad that you got to go, I really am. The burros and the little dog are so cute, I am sure the kids loved every minute of their visit. Love you and see you Friday. Mom
